Music Team-led Rehearsals
Occasionally the director is ill or otherwise unavailable at short notice, so it falls to the music team to lead a rehearsal. In this case, we try to keep the rehearsal fun/silly and low-pressure for everyone involved. A suggested plan:
| 19:30 | Warm-up and skills work; all members of the team, not just those in the singing team, can lead parts of this, for instance focusing on performance |
| 20:00 | Three set songs (pre-set or pulled from a hat), 5-7mins sectionals cramming, 8-10mins whole chorus run through per song |
| 20:45 | Notices and break |
| 21:00 | Second warm-up/skills focus/scratch quartet (all at the same time numbers permitting) |
| 21:20 | Final song focus (there are usually at least four songs on the pre-set plan or can be anything in the repertoire for an upbeat end to the rehearsal) |
| 21:30 | Early finish |
